Lab Tester

• Supports Valero’s mission, vision and values both verbally and in action.
• Safely performs all standardized testing methods in the lab following documented procedures.
• Understands expected test values and properties for sample points and products throughout the refinery.
• Notifies the Lab Operations Supervisor of off-specification test results.
• Monitors consumable inventories and notifies the Lab Operations Supervisor of deficiencies.
• Processes, retains, and disposes of samples.
• Understands proper labeling and hazard communication procedures.
• Maintains work area cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Cleans, prepares and distributes sample containers.
• Completes an adequate amount of available overtime.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
