Labor and Employment Attorney

Essential Duties:
• Responds to Labor and Employment law concerns.
• Consults with clients on a regular basis to maintain business relationships.
• Obtains new clients business on an on-going basis.
• Advises clients concerning business transactions, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
• Interprets laws, rulings and regulations.
• Analyzes the probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Initiates and respond to legal actions.
• Presents and summarizes cases to judges and juries in controversial situations that present high stress levels.
• Travels as required by client and case location.
• Maintains firm’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to firm by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and Experience:
J.D. (law degree) required and three or more years of experience as a lawyer.

Skills/Qualifications:
Legal compliance, written communication, research skills, presentation skills, analyzing information, professionalism, client confidentiality and client contact skills. Must be able to work in high-stress environment.
