Laboratory Analyst (Analytical Chemistry) | 1 Year Contract

Summary

Performs chemical analysis and stability testing in a GMP lab using HPLC, GC, FTIR, and Autotitrator, while maintaining documentation and equipment in a life-sciences setting.

Our client is a leading global life sciences company providing analytical instruments, laboratory solutions, and scientific services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and research industries. They are seeking a Site Specialist II to support analytical laboratory operations, stability testing, and quality investigations at a customer site in a GMP environment.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am – 5:30pm / 9:00am – 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform stability sample management and testing in accordance with GMP requirements.
  • Conduct chemical analysis using analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and Autotitrator.
  • Prepare samples, standards, buffers, and mobile phases for laboratory testing.
  • Support testing for raw materials, in-process, finished products, and quality investigations.
  • Record laboratory results in ELN and LIMS systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure proper operation of laboratory equipment.
  • Support quality investigations, including out-of-specification (OOS) results.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, housekeeping, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with ad-hoc laboratory testing and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Chemistry or a related Science discipline.
  • Hands-on experience using HPLC, GC, FTIR, Autotitrator, or other analytical instruments.
  • Familiarity with ELN, LIMS, or laboratory documentation systems is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with good documentation practices.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
