EMSL Analytical is hiring an entry-level Laboratory Analyst (Microbiology) in Meriden, CT to prepare and analyze air, water, and bulk samples for fungi and bacteria, generate analytical reports, enter data into a LIMS, and maintain lab equipment. No prior lab experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Microbiology) in Meriden, CT. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Preparation and analysis of Microbiological samples (air, water, and bulk materials) for fungi and bacteria
Classical and advanced methods for microbial and bio-aerosol analysis
Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system
Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual
Administrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phones
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
