The Laboratory Assistant (LA) at Southeast Medical Group assists Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) in performing routine laboratory tasks, including specimen collection, processing, and equipment maintenance. This role supports daily quality control checks, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures adherence to safety protocols while upholding patient confidentiality and delivering quality customer service. Drawing from best practices in clinical laboratory assistance (e.g., following AABB and CLSI guidelines for specimen handling and safety), the Lab Assistant will contribute to efficient lab workflows, inventory management, and a safe working environment under the supervision of MLTs and lab leadership.
