We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant / Biomedical Laboratory Technician to support laboratory testing, specimen processing and daily operations across a range of specialised laboratory disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to laboratory workflows while developing valuable technical expertise in a structured and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and support pre- and post-analytical processes in accordance with established procedures.
• Receive, prepare, process and handle specimens and samples with accuracy and care.
• Operate, clean and maintain laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pipetting systems and pH meters.
• Carry out routine laboratory procedures while adhering to laboratory protocols, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Record test results accurately, maintain proper documentation and update laboratory information systems.
• Monitor laboratory supplies, manage inventory and ensure essential materials are adequately stocked.
• Maintain a clean, organised and operationally ready laboratory environment.
• Provide administrative and research-related support to facilitate smooth laboratory operations.
• Support work across various laboratory disciplines, including Microbiology, Haematology, Blood Banking, Immunology, Clinical Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Cytotechnology.

Requirements

• Diploma in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, CPT or a related discipline and above.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle numerical data and laboratory records accurately.
• Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently, follow established procedures and adapt to a fast-paced laboratory environment.
