We are looking for an inspiring person for the post of "Laboratory Assistant" at Havelock Town branch to support the students learning process.

Job Description

• Prepare materials and assemble, disassemble, clean and store equipment needed for individual and group laboratory experiments.
  
• Schedule preparation of lab experiments.
  
• Store and dispose of hazardous wastes using safety procedures.
  
• Maintain inventory system of all science supplies and special equipment. Coordinate purchase of all science supplies and special equipment.
  
• Coordinate purchase of all science supplies and special equipment.
  
• Coordinate maintenance of laboratory equipment (service or replace)
  
• perform assigned responsibilities, duties and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.
  
• Enforce lab safety codes in all science lab areas to assure student and employee safety. Performing other related duties.
  
• Performing other related Duties.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology. Those who have Diploma qualifications in the relevant field also considered.
  
• Good command in English and Sinhala languages.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
  
• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
  
• Male / Female candidates are preferred and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
