Laboratory Chemist
• Follows defined test plans and datasheets with necessary supervision/support. Evaluates test performance and
sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results and completes test report.
• Serves as Lead for simple test programs as assigned with the necessary assistance. Communicates project status
and results as needed. Holds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed
deadlines, and managing project related activities.
• Examines customer samples and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case with support. Communicates with
internal customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
• Directs, builds and/or adapts simple test setups, sample preparations/solutions and instruments to new situations,
based on test plans and instructions. Trains other lab staff on these test procedures or instruments.
• Operates and maintains test instruments appropriately to measure and test samples. Performs maintenance on
designated test instruments and laboratory area.
• For a single testing technology, integrates basic process and instruments improvements into all aspects of the job.
Communicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new instruments, processes, and
forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.
• Understands and follows safe chemical hygiene practices.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.

To prepare sample as per SOP & TRF sheet.
To help the chemist as per their instruction.
To follow the SOP for all analytical tests & good laboratory practices.
Update the test result in software based on lab findings & following the client’s requirement and test standard.
To update all QC documents in the sample preparation and Extraction areas.
- To ensure the maintenance, calibration & documentation at the sample preparation area.
To maintain and follow up the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025, to report directly to the Analytical Lab Manager.
To follow all safety rules and protect self as required and instructed.
To follow all the rules and regulations of the laboratory.
To perform any other task assigned by the Analytical Lab Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited university through a formal program of study in Chemistry or related
discipline including Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science but not limited
to these disciplines only.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in
a timely manner with high quality.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze special testing needs.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers
• Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing
