1 YEAR CONTRACT
Looking for a laboratory professional with a chemistry background who is interested in gaining hands-on exposure to perfumery, formulation, laboratory operations and material management.
What You'll Be Doing
🧪 Laboratory Operations
• Perform perfume compounding and material selection according to formulations
• Update compounding information in the Electronic Lab Notebook
• Ensure clean tools are used for accurate weighing
• Prepare materials and equipment for odour evaluations
• Manage end-to-end material requirements within the laboratory
• Support the shipping of compounded materials with complete documentation
• Operate and maintain the Contexa robot
📋 Quality & Laboratory Management
• Complete and review assigned work and coordinate workload and resources with the team
• Implement quality management systems to ensure work is performed according to approved SOPs, safety and quality requirements
• Coordinate timely calibration of laboratory equipment
• Maintain good laboratory housekeeping and operational standards
👥 Team & Process Improvement
• Support mentoring and cross-training of team members through standardised training programmes
• Participate in cost, quality and efficiency improvement initiatives
• Work closely with the Team Lead to maintain smooth laboratory operations
