Laboratory Intern- Analytical R&D

Summary

Assist scientists in a biotech lab by preparing samples, running instruments like HPLC/GC, and documenting data under cGMP guidelines.

The Analytical Laboratory Intern will gain hands-on, real-lab experience by assisting our scientific team with day-to-day operations, sample processing, and instrumental analysis. Working directly under scientists/senior scientists, you will apply classroom knowledge to industry-standard testing, data verification, and quality control procedures. This role is designed to build foundational technical skills required for a career in biotechnology or pharmaceutical laboratory sciences.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical & Instrumentation Support
• Prepare laboratory samples, reagents, standards, and mobile phases according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Operate analytical instrumentation (such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and pH meters) under direct supervision.
• Perform routine calibration, verification, and minor maintenance tasks on laboratory instruments.
• Assist in conducting wet chemistry techniques, extractions, and basic pipetting operations.

Data Integrity & Documentation
• Document experimental results accurately in laboratory notebooks.
• Process and review chromatographic and spectroscopic data using laboratory software (e.g., Empower)
• Adhere strictly to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and data integrity guidelines.
• Assist with administrative data checks and verification of raw data.

Operations & Lab Work Environment
• Receive, log, and track samples ensuring proper chain-of-custody control.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace.
• Manage lab inventory by monitoring, labeling, and replenishing chemical reagents and consumables.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines and handle hazardous materials responsibly.
