Laboratory Resource Support Executive

Job Description

• Prepare Science laboratory resources and materials for lessons and enrichment programmes.
• Organise, label and maintain records of Science resources, equipment and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of Science rooms for lessons.
• Check lab equipment, materials and specimens; conduct regular stock-takes and maintain records.
• Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste and chemicals.
• Support laboratory safety and student safety; maintain incident records.
• Check first aid kits and laboratory safety equipment regularly.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for Science programmes, competitions and assessments.
• Assist with laboratory safety briefings and equipment awareness sessions.
• Perform other duties assigned by the school

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec in Science or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in Science Laboratory operations and administration.
• Experience supporting Science programmes, STEM& Sustainability projects and laboratory lessons.
• Proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations anddigital resources/videos.
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment preparationand maintenance.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Good communication, interpersonal, planning andanalytical skills.
• Experience working with primary school students ispreferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Standard First Aid certification is an advantage
