Overview
- To manage the maintenance and operation of blending & extraction instrumentation to enable high standards of analytical preparation, ensuring that requirements of ISO 17025 (accredited by UKAS) are met.
- Manage and supervise a team of technicians, including scheduling, workload allocation, and performance monitoring, driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Lead and support a team of technicians within the Blending and extraction lab
- Oversee calibration of equipment and quality requirements are met in the department.
- Manage inventory of consumables, reagents, and spare parts to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, R&D, or Production to support business goals
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience already in a senior lab position and looking to take their next step up, or a junior team leader looking for a better fit!
- Degree level qualified in Chemistry
- Experience with working in a contract laboratory
- Experience in working in a high volume turnaround environment
