Laboratory Technician
Advance Testing Company, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician to work on projects in the Northeastern United States.
Advance Testing, an established New York-based construction materials testing and inspection firm, performs testing and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry and asphalt. Typical assignments include projects related to construction of roads, bridges, airports, tunnels, commercial and industrial buildings, schools, government and military sites, and material fabrication and production facilities.
Successful candidates will be trained and certified to perform sampling and testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt materials for construction sites in a laboratory setting through locally and nationally recognized programs. Once trained and certified, employees are considered full-fledged Laboratory Technicians.

- American Concrete Institute – Concrete Strength Testing Technician
- American Concrete Institute – Masonry Field Testing Technician
- American Concrete Institute – Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician
- American Concrete Institute – Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level 1
- American Concrete Institute – Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level 2
- NETTCP Soils & Aggregate Inspector
- NETTCP Soils & Aggregate Lab Technician
- NETTCP Asphalt Plant Technician
Laboratory Technician - Responsibilities
- Perform standard concrete/masonry testing and soils/aggregate testing on materials to ensure the material meets the required specifications.
- Mix, sample and test concrete and mortars; handle freshly produced concrete and mortars to perform tests for engineering properties.
- Perform soil testing and sampling procedures in accordance with various industry standards, including ASTM, AASHTO, OCOE, and DOT standardized testing methods.
- Other related duties as assigned
