We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented technician to join our dynamic Corrosion and Environmental Testing group. This is a unique opportunity to apply your experience in environmentally assisted cracking, corrosion and materials testing to support a wide variety of fast-paced, client-driven R&D projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Execute billable project work according to project scope, deliverables, timeline and overall customer expectations
  • Offer input for internal Research & Development projects
  • Demonstrate understanding of fracture mechanics principles including fatigue crack growth, fracture toughness, S/N initiation testing, and slow strain rate testing in hydrogen and CO environments
  • Operate complex, multi-parameter laboratory systems safely in environments involving hazardous gases (H, CO, HS, NOx, SOx)
  • Conduct crack growth measurement using direct current potential drop (DCPD) instrumentation
  • Execute flow-assisted corrosion testing using rotating cage electrode and rotating cylinder electrode systems
  • Have a general familiarity with corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement mechanisms
