Laboratory Technologist I

  • Perform laboratory tests following prescribed procedures across specialties
  • Calculate and accurately record test results
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and perform checks on laboratory equipment
  • Troubleshoot basic analyzer malfunctions and notify management when needed
  • Prepare reagents and media per established procedures
  • Evaluate reagents, media, and calibrators using defined criteria
  • Conduct quality control (QC) on tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products
  • Review QC results and implement corrective actions when required
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with quality systems
  • Support company values, ethics, and leadership principles
  • Ensure adherence to quality management system expectations

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or related field) from an accredited institution:
    • Chemical science
    • Physical science
    • Biological/clinical laboratory science
    • Medical technology

Licensing / Certification Requirements (if applicable)

  • Must meet state-specific requirements where required:
    • California: Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CDPH)
    • Georgia: Certification via ASCP, AMT, NCA, or AAB

Work Experience & Skills

  • No prior transplant testing experience required
  • Knowledge of:
    • Medical technology principles, methods, and techniques
    • Chemistry, biology, and bacteriology fundamentals
    • Recent developments in medical technology
  • Ability to:
    • Perform tasks according to procedures
    • Make accurate observations and maintain records
  • Skilled in using laboratory equipment
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer-focused mindset

Environmental & Safety Requirements

  • Must follow all safety and exposure procedures
  • Required to use provided personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must handle hazardous materials safely
  • Refer to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemical hazards

Compensation:

  • $23.50-$26.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Sunday- Wednesday (22:00-08:30) or Tuesday-Friday (22:00-08:30)
