Laborer

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position performs a variety of general laboring and routine maintenance duties in support of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities and recreational areas.

Perform routine maintenance duties, including painting, cleaning, debris removal, and minor repairs to facilities and grounds

Use common hand tools and simple power equipment to perform general laboring and maintenance tasks.

Maintain park and recreational areas by mowing grass, trimming vegetation, pulling weeds, raking leaves, and removing litter.

Loads, unloads, moves, and arranges materials, supplies, furniture, and equipment using hand trucks or wheelbarrows

Perform custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and cleaning restrooms, buildings, and public-use areas.

Assist higher-graded maintenance personnel with routine repairs and maintenance of park facilities, equipment, and recreational structures.
