Job Title: Labour Compliance Officer
Location: Port Harcourt
Job Type: Contract

Role Purpose

To support the client in managing contractor labour compliance, initially by conducting weekly visits to identify, follow up and close contractor-related issues, and later by supporting periodic labour audits and contractor labour assurance across project and operational contractors.

The role will help ensure that contractors and subcontractors comply with Nigerian labour requirements, client’s Contractor HR & Labour Management Framework, IFC PS2 expectations, and lender/audit documentation requirements.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Law, Social Sciences, Business Administration, E&S Management or related field.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR compliance, industrial relations, contractor management, labour audit, E&S social performance or site administration.
* Good knowledge of Nigerian labour requirements, including employment terms, wages, working hours, leave, Pension, NSITF, PAYE, NHF, NHIA, ITF and worker welfare.
* Ability to conduct site inspections, worker interviews, record reviews and corrective action follow-up.
* Strong reporting, documentation, Excel and evidence-management skills.
* Must be Nigeria-based and willing to travel regularly (as needed)
* IFC, AFDB, compliance agencies are added advantages
