About Rocket Factory Augsburg

At Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA), we have one clear goal: to create low-cost, flexible, and reliable access to space. We specialize in building small launch vehicles designed to deploy satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and beyond. Together with you, we aim to revolutionize space services and help improve life on Earth. Sounds interesting? Then join our journey and become part of the team driving the New Space movement in Europe.

About the Team

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated engineer in the Software team as LabVIEW Programming Engineer (f/m/d). You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Are you excited by the prospect of writing the code that tests actual launch vehicle hardware? Then apply for us.

Your Tasks

  • Collaborate closely with test engineers on the shop floor to interface instrumentation and control systems with National Instruments (NI) DAQ and Beckhoff data acquisition hardware.
  • Design and build intuitive LabVIEW User Interfaces (UIs) that empower test engineers to operate actuators and monitor live, high-frequency sensor telemetry.
  • Proactively analyze, debug, and resolve real-time software anomalies and bugs to maintain high test-stand availability.

Your Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of LabVIEW programming, proven through demanding academic projects, extracurricular initiatives or prior industry experience.
  • Solid, practical experience setting up the entire data acquisition chain—from physically connecting sensors and actuators to configuring NI DAQ systems and setting up robust logging environments.
  • A strong understanding of sensor signals, industrial automation, or distributed I/O systems (experience with Beckhoff/EtherCAT is a strong plus).
  • Fluent in oral and written English, as all day-to-day engineering and documentation activities are conducted exclusively in English.
