Land Development Project Manager (26057)
GEMTEC is looking for a Intermediate or Senior level Land Development Project Manager within our Clarington Office as we continue to service our clients in land development, municipal, and defense sectors.

You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team of Engineers and Scientists focused on Geotechnical, Environmental, and Materials related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing geotechnical, hydrogeological, environmental and materials testing and inspection services projects including writing proposals, budget and schedule tracking, attending site meetings, undertaking and coordinating project-specific field work.
- Provide support with technical analysis, and report writing for geotechnical and materials related projects;
- Assist in the preparation of, reviewing and approval of field reports;
- Assist/Lead with client management and consultation as required to manage projects and assist in the development of a client base;
- Assist with mentoring and training field staff;
- Carry out field inspections, resolve construction issues (for concrete, granular, asphalt and subgrade etc.), and oversight of project performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Technician/Technologist from a recognized college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of land development engineering experience.
- Be a Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario or registered with OACETT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English), strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time to deliver quality work on time and on budget.
- Possess experience in report writing for land development projects (preferably within the GTA), and coordination/project management of small to medium complexity geotechnical and/or multi-disciplinary projects.
- Have significant experience in geotechnical evaluations, interpretation of lab testing results for construction application, and inspections (i.e., subgrade, foundations, slopes etc.).
- Strong experience in geotechnical engineering, or materials testing and inspection is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in developing and executing multi disciplinary monitoring programs in the GTA.
- Be motivated to provide excellent client service and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
