Landscape AI & Computational Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Landscape AI & Computational Design Specialist to lead the integration of artificial intelligence, data analytics and computational design across landscape architecture, master planning and public realm projects.
This role will drive innovation by applying AI, parametric design, GIS and automation tools to improve design quality, delivery efficiency and data-driven decision-making throughout project lifecycles.
The successful candidate will work closely with landscape architects, urban designers, planners, BIM specialists and digital delivery teams to develop scalable workflows, practical tools and innovative design solutions that can be adopted across the studio.

  • Develop and implement AI solutions tailored to landscape architecture, master planning and public realm design.

  • Create computational design workflows using tools such as Grasshopper, Rhino, Dynamo, Python and generative design platforms.

  • Support data-driven design decisions through GIS, spatial analytics, environmental modelling and predictive analysis.

  • Develop AI-assisted tools for planting design, public realm planning, walkability studies, mobility analysis and environmental performance assessments.

  • Automate repetitive design, documentation, QA/QC and reporting tasks to improve consistency and delivery efficiency.

  • Lead the development of landscape-specific AI agents, scripts and digital workflows that support project teams.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Landscape, Urban Design, Master Planning, BIM and Digital Engineering.

  • Investigate emerging technologies and assess opportunities for practical implementation across the studio.

  • Establish best-practice guidance, standards and training materials for computational design and AI adoption.

  • Support bids, competitions and innovation initiatives through advanced visualization, data analytics and scenario modelling.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience applying AI, computational design or advanced digital workflows within the built environment sector.

  • Strong working knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS, Dynamo and visual programming workflows.

  • Understanding of generative AI, machine learning, automation, digital twins and responsible AI principles.

  • Experience developing design automation tools, computational scripts or repeatable digital workflows.

  • Ability to translate complex landscape and urban design challenges into scalable digital solutions.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to design and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design consultancies or project delivery environments.

    Preferred Experience

  • Landscape architecture, public realm or master planning project experience.

  • Knowledge of environmental modelling, climate resilience, biodiversity analytics and sustainable design frameworks.

  • Experience with Power BI, AI copilots, large language models and design automation platforms.

  • Experience supporting BIM, Digital Engineering or Digital Twin initiatives.

  • Familiarity with scripting, cloud computing and AI deployment environments.

  • Ability to support regional project delivery across KSA, UAE and the wider Middle East.
