Landscape Foreman – Bed Maintenance
Green View is a family-owned landscaping company in Central Illinois, running since 1955. We're hiring a Foreman to lead a crew keeping garden beds looking sharp on homes and businesses weeding, mulching, edging, and applying weed treatments.
What you'll do:
- Lead your crew on weeding, mulching, edging, and cleanup
- Apply and oversee weed-killer treatments safely and by the label
- Keep bed edges clean using hand tools and power edgers
- Spot weed, pest, and disease problems and figure out how to treat them
- Plan the day's work to use labor and materials efficiently
- Train and mentor your crew on technique and safety
- Check equipment before each job
- Help with snow removal in winter
What you need:
- Experience in landscape bed maintenance or similar work
- Comfortable leading a crew and holding people to a quality standard
- Know-how with herbicide application and identifying weeds/pests/disease
- IL Pesticide Applicators License (or willing to get one we'll help)
- Valid IL driver's license, clean record
- Able to lift 80 lbs and work outside in all weather
