LANs, WANs, and wireless networks
JD:
- 1. Deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including, routers, hubs, switches, WAN-accelerators and other hardware.
- 2. Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. Operational Management
- 3. Configure networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- 4. Monitor network stability, availability and performance.
- 5. Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems as needed.
- 6. Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer's hardware and software.
- 7. Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- 8. Experience in design, provisioning and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity technologies, hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, working with access control list (ACLs), TCP/IP. VLAN, VRF, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS), IP Multicast, routing and switching
- 9. Ability to work effectively with all levels within an organization.
- 10. Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- 11. Proven ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a deadline driven environment.
- 12. Willingness to attend training classes to keep skills current.
Physical requirements:
- 1. Required to be able to lift and move computers and other peripheral computer equipment.
- 2. Required to have solid communication skills, good diction and the ability to be articulate.
- 3. Required to have the ability to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines.
- 4. Required to be able to make judgment decisions and handle daily or routine responsibilities.
