We're looking for a motivated Junior Web Developer to join our team full-time and on-site. You'll work across the full stack of a web-based application built on PHP/Laravel with a MySQL backend and an HTML/CSS/Bootstrap frontend. The work involves building new features, fixing bugs, writing and optimizing database queries, and maintaining existing functionality. You'll also work with REST APIs, background/scheduled jobs (Laravel queues and scheduler), and version control with Git as part of day-to-day development. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn fast and ship regularly.

Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain backend features using PHP and Laravel

· Build and update frontend pages using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap

· Write and optimize MySQL queries; work with relational data

· Consume and build REST APIs

· Write clean, readable code following existing project conventions

· Use Git for version control (branching, commits, pull requests)

· Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver solutions

· Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback

· Debug and resolve issues across the application



Requirements

· 1–2 years of experience with PHP and the Laravel framework

· Solid working knowledge of HTML and CSS

· Solid working knowledge of MySQL and relational databases

· Understanding of consuming and building REST APIs

· Familiarity with Git version control

· Familiarity with Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks

· Self-learning attitude - proactively picks up new skills without waiting to be taught

· AI-first mindset - comfortable using AI tools as part of the daily development workflow

· Basic familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot/Codex, or Cursor

· Attention to detail and a commitment to writing quality code

· Good communication skills - able to ask questions and give updates clearly

· Team player who works well in a collaborative environment


Nice to Have

· Experience with Laravel queues, scheduled jobs, or background processing

· Basic familiarity with automated testing (PHPUnit / feature tests)

· Exposure to working with structured data files or third-party integrations
