Job Description: Plumbing Service Technician Apprentice/Helper

WE ARE LOOKING FOR COMMERCIAL PLUMBING HELPERS TO SERVICE LAS VEGAS, NEVADA AND SURROUNDING AREAS.
PAY RANGE: $18.00 - $23.00 PER HOUR, DOE
Job Summary
Assist experience Plumbing Technicians in installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in commercial and industrial environments. You will learn and apply skills in reading blueprints, understanding equipment specifications, and perform hands-on work under close supervision. This is a training position designed to build foundational skills and knowledge in the plumbing industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Aid in performing routine maintenance on commercial and industrial plumbing equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, learning to identify complex plumbing issues.
• Observe and practice how to Install, maintain and repair water heaters, boilers, and other large-scale plumbing components to local codes.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Maintain records of parts ordered, delivered, and used.
• Help position and mount equipment such as water heaters, boilers, and other large-scale plumbing components.
• Attend training sessions and classes, either on the job or through a trade school program, to expand knowledge of the plumbing industry, including regulations and safety protocols.
• Learn and follow all company, state, and federal safety protocols and guidelines.
• Work with clients, contractors, engineers, managers, dispatchers and other tradespeople while performing this job.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly organized and used safely.
• Shadow experienced technicians on service calls and learn how to communicate effectively with customers by explaining what work is being done and answering any basic questions.
• Provide support in documenting service calls, including taking notes on what work was performed, etc.
