SUMMARY
Sets up, adjusts, checks out programming, and operates CO2 gas laser devices by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Program all machine axes
- Program, coordinate or operate any support equipment associated with primary machine.
- Diagnose and adjust needed changes using romer, layout, check gage, assembly fixture, or any other required measuring method
- Using document(s) listed above determine: what machine is to be utilized, how parts are to be run, confirm part number, quantity to be produced. Also confirm that the engineering change number corresponds with the work order, layout, and print.
- Follows machine pre-operation checking procedures.
- Performs all required preventative maintenance.
- Cleans and maintains machines optics.
- Inspects parts produced per Company protocol.
- Follows daily production schedules.
- Ensures correct cutting parameters are used.
- Operates additional support equipment.
- Moves production materials as needed.
- Travel may be required for training.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts when on shop walks.
