Laundry Aide

Summary
Handles laundry and linen care for residents in a care facility, including washing, mending, and organizing items under supervision.
The Williamsport Home is currently seeking both a full-time laundry aide and a part-time laundry aide.
Hours: 6am-2pm, holidays/weekends as scheduled
Position Summary:
Launders and/or supplies linens and clothing for residents’ care under the supervision of the Laundry Department Head.
Other Responsibilities:
- Dust mops and wet mops floor, removes lint from dryers, and cleans work surfaces in the laundry department.
- Marks and/or label linens and clothing.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- For aide scheduled part-time in laundry and housekeeping, performs duties of laundry aide or cleans and organizes night stands, dresser drawers and closets as assigned; otherwise, performs housekeeping duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
- Launders other items as necessary or as directed.
- Mends as needed or as directed.
