Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / General Manager
Status: Full-Time or Part-Time

Position Summary

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, organizing, and maintaining hotel linens and towels. This position ensures the Housekeeping Department has an adequate supply of clean linens while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized laundry area.

Essential Duties

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels.
  • Operate washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure Room Attendants have clean linens and towels throughout the day.
  • Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear.
  • Keep clean and dirty linens properly separated.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry room.
  • Clean lint traps, machines, floors, carts, and work areas regularly.
  • Properly handle and store laundry chemicals.
  • Report equipment problems or linen shortages to management.
  • Maintain a steady and productive laundry workflow.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Department with additional duties when needed.
  • Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, and attendance policies.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Management reserves the right to assign additional duties based on the operational needs of the hotel.
