Laundry Attendant- Valet
Job Description
The Laundry Attendant – Valet is responsible for collecting, checking, recording, and delivering guest laundry and dry-cleaning items in accordance with hotel standards. The role ensures that all guest garments are handled with care, processed accurately, and returned within the required timeframe while providing excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect guest laundry and dry-cleaning items from guest rooms as requested.
- Check garments for stains, damage, and discrepancies before processing.
- Verify laundry lists and ensure accurate recording of all items.
- Deliver clean and pressed garments to guest rooms promptly.
- Coordinate with the Laundry Department to ensure timely processing and delivery.
- Handle guest garments carefully and maintain confidentiality of guest belongings.
- Respond politely to guest inquiries and communicate any delays or special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry valet area.
- Follow hotel policies, hygiene standards, and health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in a hotel laundry department or a similar role is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle guest garments with care and professionalism.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
