Serving as a Law Enforcement Program Specialist GS-1801-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Office of the Associate Director for Training Ops, Training Management Operations Directorate, Training Administration and Management Division, located in Glynco, GA. This position serves as a Law Enforcement Program Specialist responsible for participating in management of analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, revision, and administration of basic and advanced law enforcement training programs throughout the FLETC. Typical duties include: Facilitating and participation in the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, revision, and administration of basic or advanced law enforcement training programs. Participating in the development of the programmatic budget for training programs. Coordinating and facilitating the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process for basic or advanced law enforcement training. Facilitating and determination of training program objectives and identifying related knowledge, skills, and abilities which lead to the achievement of those training objectives. Conducting and facilitating Curriculum Development Conferences (CDC) or Curriculum Review Conferences (CRC) for assigned training programs and utilizing the ISD process. Participating in the accreditation process; assisting in providing guidance for the accreditation of training programs that include: (a) curricula evaluation; (b) instructional methods and techniques; (c) adequacy and utilization of training aids, devices and facilities; and (d) remedial training. Ensuring the training programs meet and maintain the standards for training programs. Maintaining electronic records and files for the management of CDC and CRC results.
