Lawn Care Technician
Green View is a family-owned landscaping company in Central Illinois, running since 1955. We're hiring a Lawn Care Technician to keep client lawns healthy across the Peoria market — applying treatments, diagnosing problems, and building trust with clients along your route.
What you'll do:
- Apply fertilizer, weed killer, and other treatments to lawns, following label and safety rules
- Inspect lawns and figure out what's wrong — pests, disease, nutrients, weather stress — and recommend fixes
- Keep accurate records of every application
- Help with bed maintenance, pruning, and planting when needed
- Help with snow removal in winter
- Work independently on your route, or as part of a crew when needed
What you need:
- At least 1 year in turf care, lawn maintenance, or similar work
- IL Pesticide Applicators License (or willing to get one — we'll help)
- Valid IL driver's license, clean record
- Able to lift 50–75 lbs and work outside in all weather
- Reliable, organized, detail-oriented
- Comfortable talking with clients — you'll interact with them regularly
