- Handle aspects of commercial litigation, criminal litigation, arbitration, and other case assignments from case inception to completion
- Determine legal strategies to maximize a successful outcome for the client and see such strategies through to completion
- Advise and communicate with both Vietnam and foreign clients
- Interact with government officials and police
- Argue and present cases before the court/arbitral tribunal in phases of litigation/arbitration
- Interview, select, prepare, and rehearse witnesses for trials and hearings
- Conduct direct and cross-examination and oral arguments in proceedings
- Regularly engage in client growth and business development activities
- Publish articles and make presentations that increase the firms visibility
- Identify and participate in relevant conferences as agreed by partners/department heads
- Build strong relationships with professional organizations relating to his or her practice areas

- Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work effectively
- Effectively and persuasively present the clients position and represent the clients interests
- Able to apply legal principles and draw on experience to develop strategies and solve problems that add real value for clients
- Demonstrate excellent legal and business judgment that inspires clients confidence
- Ability to lead teams of junior lawyers and paralegals
- Excellent written and spoken skills in English and ability to present information, including complex legal issues
