About your Role

In this role, you will join our Legal & Compliance function, an autonomous and risk-focused group dedicated to enabling sustainable global growth while protecting the integrity of our business. Your primary mission will be to own both the legal and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring our operations remain aligned with evolving regulatory requirements while supporting commercial expansion. Your biggest challenge will be navigating complex financial regulatory environments, securing and maintaining licenses, and translating regulatory obligations into practical business solutions that support growth without compromising compliance. Your work will directly contribute to Weltrade’s mission of delivering secure, transparent, and accessible trading services to clients worldwide. We are looking for a specialist who is self-sufficient, comfortable operating independently, and ready to make decisions in a high-impact, fast-evolving industry.

You Have

• 5+ years of legal practice experience, including at least 2 years focused on financial services regulation within Forex, Crypto, Payments, Gaming, or comparable regulated industries.
• Proven experience obtaining, maintaining, or supporting regulatory licenses and relationships with financial regulators such as FSCA, FSC Mauritius, DFSA, ADGM, or comparable international authorities.
• Strong working knowledge of AML, KYC, CTF, EDD, and related regulatory frameworks, including FATF recommendations and jurisdiction-specific compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including partnership, technology, vendor, and client-facing contracts.
• Professional-level English with a proven ability to communicate effectively with regulators, external counsel, financial institutions, and senior stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Previous in-house legal or compliance experience within a Forex broker, Crypto exchange, Payment Institution, or Fintech company.
• Familiarity with DIFC and ADGM regulatory frameworks and licensing processes.
• Experience building or scaling a compliance function, governance framework, or regulatory programme from the ground up.
