They’re seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of production-grade AI solutions - combining technical leadership with hands-on engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end AI solutions
• Build and deploy LLM-powered systems (RAG, agents, orchestration)
• Develop scalable APIs, services, and data pipelines
• Design retrieval and ranking systems for accurate outputs
• Establish AI evaluation, testing, and quality frameworks
• Drive LLMOps practices (monitoring, performance, optimisation)
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience building production-grade software systems
• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs / GenAI technologies
• Expertise in backend development (APIs, microservices, data systems)
• Experience with RAG, prompt design, or agent-based workflows
• Strong understanding of system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Experience with AI evaluation and quality improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with search / retrieval systems or vector databases
• Knowledge of AI cost optimisation techniques
• Exposure to secure or data-sensitive environments
• Background in SaaS or data-rich platforms
