Lead AI Engineer in Human Health
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead AI Engineer to spearhead our research initiatives in the application of artificial intelligence to human health. Key Responsibilities:
1. Research Leadership:
- Lead and oversee AI research projects focused on human health, from conceptualization to execution.
- Develop and implement a strategic research roadmap that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and healthcare to inform research directions and methodologies.
2. Project Management:
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in all research activities.
3. Team Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of AI researchers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative research environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, biologists, data engineers, and software developers.
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, industry leaders, and research organizations.
- Communicate research findings and progress to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and publications.
5. AI Model Development and Deployment:
- Design, develop, and validate AI models for applications in disease prediction, diagnosis, treatment optimization, and personalized medicine.
- Ensure robustness, scalability, and real-world applicability of AI solutions.
- Oversee the integration of AI models into clinical workflows and healthcare systems.
6. Data Management:
- Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of large-scale health data.
- Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines for efficient data processing.
7. Publication and Dissemination:
- Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at leading conferences.
- Contribute to the broader scientific community through open-source projects, workshops, and seminars.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of postdoctoral experience in AI research, with a focus on healthcare applications.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
