With approximately 3,000 technologists, we collaborate with the most admired private and public organizations to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions. Our deep industry expertise includes Data & AI, software development, digital experiences, and business applications. Operating across the Nordics and Lithuania, our team serves over 8,000 customers and supporting their digital transformation journeys.

We are looking for an experience Lead AI/ML Architect to join our AI team!

Most companies can builds models. Far fewer can run them in production, retrain, update and provide inference on a schedule or in real time, setup operations critical monitoring, and show a regulator how it makes decisions. That gap is where you come in. You will lead the engineering work that takes machine learning and generative AI from a promising notebook to a monitored, governed system our customers depend on every day, and you will do it alongside data engineers, data scientists, cloud architects, and software developers on some of the largest Data & AI teams in the Nordics.

What are we looking for?
You are an engineer first. You are comfortable owning a codebase, you write tests, and you would rather automate a deployment than document it. You have seen enough ML projects reach production to have opinions about AI/ML design patterns and architecture and when to apply which.

We expect you to bring:

  • Several years of hands-on AI & ML engineering experience, including at least a few models or AI services you have taken all the way to production and then operated.

  • Strong Python and solid software engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, code review, packaging, CI/CD.

  • Practical MLOps depth: training and inference pipelines, experiment tracking, model registries, feature reuse, deployment patterns (batch, real-time, streaming), monitoring for drift, data quality, and model degradation, plus automated retraining.

  • Experience on Azure: Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric (Experience from AWS or GCP transfers, and we will not hold it against you.)

  • Comfortable with infrastructure as code (Terraform or Bicep), containers, and Kubernetes.

  • Experience productionising generative AI including RAG architectures, orchestration frameworks, prompt and model evaluation, guardrails, and agent development.

  • An understanding of what governance means in practice: lineage, reproducibility, access control, GDPR, and the documentation the EU AI Act increasingly requires.

  • The ability to explain a technical trade-off to a customer's business stakeholder

  • Leadership shown through technical direction, mentoring, and raising the standard of the work around you.

  • Fluent spoken and written Danish is a requirement

Will your responsibilities be?

  • Lead the design and build of ML and GenAI systems for our customers, from architecture through production operation.

  • Own the ML platform layer: pipelines, deployment automation, model and prompt lifecycle, and the monitoring and alerting that keep it all honest.

  • Set engineering standards for the team: reference architectures, reusable components, code quality etc.

  • Work directly with customers: shape the technical approach, challenge requirements when they need challenging, and translate between business outcomes and system design.

  • Mentor data scientists and engineers, and grow the ML engineering capability across our Danish team.

  • Take part in scoping and pre-sales for AI initiatives

  • Keep us current: evaluate new tooling and models with a clear eye for what actually earns a place in a production stack.

  • Engage as an local ambassador and expert in our global AI/ML offerings

About you

  • You take ownership and are comfortable working in complex environments

  • You are pragmatic and focus on delivering real-world value

  • You enjoy working across disciplines and bridging gaps between teams

  • You lift the people around you, colleagues and the customer's own engineers, and you leave a team more capable than you found it.

What can we offer?
Twoday is located in modern offices in 30 locations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Lithuania. We have a strong and unique social environment with highly engaged employees. If you are the candidate we are looking for, you will have a central role with exciting opportunities to develop in an international and innovative group, with exciting products and services within technology and software. You will also have the flexibility to "jump" and work from one of our headquarters in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, or Vilnius at times.

Diversity & Inclusion
Are you not meeting all the requirements listed? Studies have shown that women and other minority groups are less likely to apply for a job if they don't meet every qualification. We're dedicated to build a workplace of diversity and inclusion. If you are excited about this role but your previous experience does not match the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
