Lead Analyst - Geospatial Data

We are seeking a Lead Analyst, Geospatial Data to lead the development and optimization of geospatial data products that support the company's solar, storage, and renewable energy project pipeline. The role combines GIS expertise, product ownership, stakeholder collaboration, and data strategy to enable data-driven decision-making across the business

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, develop, and continuously improve GIS data products, including maps, dashboards, analyses, and reusable data layers.
  • Serve as the company's GIS subject matter expert, providing insights and supporting strategic business decisions.
  • Ensure high data quality through documentation, quality assurance, and collaboration with data engineering teams.
  • Promote data literacy by training users and encouraging self-service access to GIS data.
  • Work closely with data engineers, scientists, and analysts using agile methodologies to shape Nexamp's data platform and strategy.
  • Define and track objectives (OKRs) to measure business impact.

Key Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience as a Geospatial Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS and other GIS platforms (e.g., Prospect, Paces); SQL and BI tools are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience improving processes, driving data quality, and influencing business decisions.
  • Passion for renewable energy and alignment with Nexamp's clean energy mission.
  • Ability to work 2–3 days per week from the Boston office (hybrid role).
