🧑 💻 About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Application Lead (IBM- IMS Database). You will serve as the subject-matter expert and primary technical contact, leading application delivery, guiding the team, and making key technical decisions across complex mainframe environments.
💡 What You Bring In
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM IMS Database
Expert knowledge of IMS database structures, including DBDs, PSBs, PCBs, and DL/I
Strong mainframe experience with technologies such as z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, or VSAM
Experience in IMS database design, performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, and reorganization
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex database and production issues
Previous experience leading technical teams and collaborating with application, infrastructure, and support teams

Serve as the IMS Database SME and lead the application development and support process
Manage the team, assign technical priorities, and make key application and database decisions
Design, review, and optimize IMS database structures and application solutions
Troubleshoot critical production incidents and implement long-term resolutions
Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure smooth delivery, deployment, and system performance
Promote best practices for application design, database management, security, and compliance
