The Opportunity
As the Lead, Applications Support and Maintenance Specialist (PPM), you will provide strategic direction, technical leadership and hands-on support for the University's PPM platform Clarity. You will manage application support and maintenance, investigate and resolve incidents, oversee releases and upgrades, and identify opportunities for long-term improvements aligned with evolving business requirements.
You will work closely with ICT teams, business stakeholders and external vendors, providing consultancy and advice while ensuring the platform remains reliable, effective and aligned to the University's strategic priorities.
This role is ideal for an experienced Clarity PPM specialist who combines strong technical capability with excellent stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving skills and a strong customer focus.
What you’ll do
- Lead the administration, configuration, and ongoing support of the Clarity PPM platform
- Provide coordination and administrative support across multiple ICT projects
- Maintain documentation, trackers, and reporting materials
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Assist with communication between project teams and key stakeholders
- Manage system upgrades, patches, testing, and release activities for Clarity PPM
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, workflows, and data integrations
- Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on Clarity PPM capabilities and best practices
- Lead incident, problem, and change management activities relating to the Clarity PPM platform
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency
- Experience with Jaspersoft Reporting, Power BI and GEL scripting
- Experience with built in integration tool XOG
- Experience in Clarity administration, project support, and coordination role
- Experience supporting a PMO, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), or project delivery function
- Understanding of project governance, portfolio management, and reporting frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present project data
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to engage effectively with project managers, senior stakeholders, and business leaders
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
- A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate project needs
