You will be:

  • leading the architecture and strategic evolution of enterprise payment solutions,
  • designing secure, scalable, and resilient payment architectures supporting multiple payment methods, including cards, digital wallets, and cryptocurrencies,
  • defining end-to-end payment processing flows, ensuring high performance, reliability, and seamless customer experiences,
  • collaborating with product, engineering, finance, and business teams to integrate payment capabilities into customer journeys and enterprise platforms,
  • designing secure payment solutions with a strong focus on encryption, tokenization, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance,
  • overseeing the architecture and integration of payment gateways and payment service providers (PSPs),
  • defining architecture standards for high-volume transaction processing, distributed systems, and event-driven solutions,
  • identifying opportunities to optimize payment performance, resilience, routing, and operational efficiency,
  • driving innovation by evaluating emerging payment technologies, industry trends, and best practices,
  • mentoring technical teams and providing architectural leadership across payment initiatives.

Your profile:

  • proven experience as a Lead, Enterprise, or Solution Architect delivering large-scale payment platforms,
  • strong experience designing end-to-end payment systems and transaction processing architectures,
  • hands-on experience with multiple payment methods, including payment cards, digital wallets, and cryptocurrencies,
  • deep understanding of payment gateways, PSP integrations, and payment processing lifecycle (authorization, capture, clearing, and settlement),
  • strong knowledge of the payment ecosystem, including acquirers, issuers, and card schemes such as Visa and Mastercard,
  • experience designing secure payment platforms with encryption, tokenization, fraud detection, and risk mitigation capabilities,
  • solid understanding of PCI-DSS, PSD2, and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements,
  • experience designing distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant systems with strong knowledge of idempotency, reconciliation, and retry patterns,
  • hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and streaming platforms such as Kafka,
  • experience designing systems capable of handling high transaction volumes and low-latency processing,
  • strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, finance, and business teams,
  • fluent English and French language skills (written and spoken).

Hybrid work from Paris is required.

Nice to have:

  • experience with payment orchestration platforms and multi-PSP routing,
  • knowledge of reconciliation processes, accounting flows, and financial operations,
  • experience designing cloud-native payment architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP,
  • experience designing RESTful and event-driven APIs,
  • knowledge of observability practices, including distributed tracing and transaction monitoring,
  • experience with digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay,
  • experience optimizing payment performance, routing, and authorization rates,
  • experience working within enterprise architecture governance models and cross-functional environments,
  • knowledge of data-driven payment optimization, including decline analysis and intelligent routing,
  • experience with crypto payments, blockchain technologies, alternative payment methods (APMs), or Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solutions,
  • familiarity with real-time payment schemes such as SEPA Instant and Faster Payments, cross-border payments, and foreign exchange,
  • exposure to machine learning-based fraud detection, legacy payment platform modernization, API monetization strategies, and emerging payment technologies.
