Lead Architect, Technology Solutions and Digital Products
We are building a next-generation digital product suite for international logistics.
You will take solutions from whiteboard to production(0-to-1): sitting with operations to understand the problem, modeling it in BPMN/DMN, building the workers and integrations, and shipping something real that customers feel — then making it reusable across customers and product surfaces. This is a hybrid role for someone who is equal parts business analyst, process designer, and hands-on developer.
As Camunda Practice Lead, you are the founding engineer and technical authority for that practice. You will still be deeply hands-on — modeling, coding workers, shipping MVPs — but you also establish the standards, governance, and reusable patterns that every future workflow is built on, and you help level up the engineers who follow you. You will orchestrate and automate key processes across all products as the digitalization roadmap scales.
What you will do
- Own orchestration across the suite. Model and build the BPMN processes that run critical processes.
- Establish the practice. Define BPMN/DMN modeling standards, process versioning and migration strategy, deployment models, and governance so process automation is repeatable and observable across teams.
- Hands-on solutioning. Map and model complex workflows, build Zeebe job workers and connectors, quantify pain, translate requirements into executable designs, then prototype, demo to sponsors, and ship 0-to-1 MVPs — leading by building, not just directing.
- Design decisioning at scale. Architect the DMN/FEEL decision layer so business rules and per-customer variation are configuration, not code
- Build the integrations. Develop Zeebe job workers and connectors wiring Camunda to our core operating systems, Snowflake, Kafka/event streams, EDI, and CRM.
- Build traceability and closed-loop analytics. Design the event, database schema, and KPI event model that feed Power BI, giving every automated action an auditable trail and a measurable value.
Must-have qualifications
- 3-5 years in fullstack software engineering with strong backend development, including 3+ years hands-on with BPM/workflow engines (Camunda 8 / Zeebe strongly preferred).
- Deep BPMN 2.0 and DMN expertise, including FEEL, sub-processes, message correlation, timers, escalation, and event driven patterns.
- Strong Java / Spring Boot (or comparable backend) and proven experience building Zeebe job workers, connectors, and event-driven integrations (REST, Kafka/RabbitMQ, microservices).
- Experience in distributed-systems concepts — idempotency, retries, eventual consistency, saga/long-running transactions — and workflow versioning and migration strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to take solutions 0-to-1 AND to establish standards, patterns, and governance that others build on.
- Strong business-analysis and stakeholder skills: can run discoveries with operations/business teams and translate it into architecture.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and setting technical direction.
Nice-to-have
- Camunda 8 certification.
- AI development and orchestration experience
- Snowflake and Power BI familiarity for analytics and closed-loop KPIs.
- Multi-tenant / SaaS workflow design (per-customer DMN configuration).
- Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud (Azure or AWS).
- Supply chain / logistics / EDI domain exposure.
- Custom Camunda connector development.
Why join
- Found the practice. You define how orchestration and decisioning work across the entire product suite — a rare chance to set the foundation
- Build and lead. Stay hands-on while shaping standards and growing a team as the roadmap and headcount scale.
