Description
Help us build the next generation of lifting and transport equipment for the wind industry
We're looking for an experienced Automation Engineer who wants to take responsibility for control systems, PLC software and machine automation.
This is a newly established role at Danhydra, where you will help strengthen automation across future products and development projects.
The role
Some days you will be working with PLC software and control architecture. Other days you may be reviewing functional safety requirements, troubleshooting on a test setup, supporting commissioning activities, or discussing technical solutions with suppliers and colleagues from production and engineering.
You will work closely with colleagues within hydraulics, mechanics and electrical engineering to develop robust and reliable machine control solutions.
Your responsibilities
• Develop PLC and HMI software using Siemens TIA Portal
• Define automation concepts and system architecture for new products
• Translate functional and safety requirements into practical control solutions
• Support testing, troubleshooting and commissioning activities
• Specify and integrate sensors, electrical components and control hardware
• Work closely with colleagues within hydraulics, mechanics and electrical engineering
• Contribute to machine safety design and compliance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230
• Support technical dialogue with suppliers and development partners
What we're looking for
You have experience from industrial machinery, mobile equipment, automation systems or similar technical environments.
You have worked with systems where software, hydraulics, electrical components and mechanics need to work together reliably under demanding operating conditions.
We expect that you:
• Have experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal
• Understand industrial control systems and machine automation
• Can translate functional requirements into practical control solutions
• Work well across different engineering disciplines
• Take responsibility for your work and follow tasks through to completion
Experience with hydraulic control systems, proportional valves, pressure and flow control, or closed-loop regulation will be considered a strong advantage.
