Job Title: Lead Automation Engineer - Senior
Location: Remote / Asturias, Spain (partially remote until 2026/2027)
Industry: Battery Component Manufacturing for EVs

Overview:
Join a cutting-edge project to develop a state-of-the-art factory producing sustainable, high-performance battery materials for electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the automation team in designing, installing, testing, and commissioning factory systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other engineering disciplines.
  • Develop maintenance and reliability programs for automation systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with industry, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical support during equipment procurement.

Requirements:

  • Technical: Master’s in Automation/Electrical Engineering or related field, 7+ years in automation, expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial tools.
  • Non-Technical: Strong leadership and project management, fluent in Spanish and English, structured and proactive approach.
  • Certifications: Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience; SCC/VCA certification required.

Details:

  • Contract: Long-term (initially until 2025).
  • Travel: Up to 10% (mainly within Spain and internationally).
  • Rate: Market-competitive (all-in).
  • Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered).
