We are seeking a Lead Automation Tester in JS to set quality strategy and automation architecture for web platforms using Playwright and JavaScript. You will define quality standards, lead shift-left practices, and embed robust UI, API, and integration testing across complex enterprise-scale systems. Responsibilities

  • Design and own the end-to-end automation strategy using Playwright and JavaScript
  • Define automation architecture, patterns, and best practices for the team
  • Ensure test suites remain scalable, maintainable, and performant as coverage grows
  • Drive shift-left testing adoption across the delivery lifecycle
  • Establish quality gates and enforcement within CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement and oversee UI, API, and integration test coverage
  • Create test strategies for complex user journeys and external integrations
  • Manage test data and orchestrate environments for reliable execution
  • Lead code reviews for test automation code and standards
  • Eliminate flaky tests and improve overall execution reliability
  • Mentor mid-level and junior Quality Engineers through coaching and guidance
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Delivery leaders to assess release readiness

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience of 5+ years in Quality Engineering or Test Automation
  • Proven track record acting as a Lead QE or Automation Lead
  • Deep expertise with Playwright at scale
  • High proficiency in JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of frontend and backend architectures
  • Practical experience testing REST APIs
  • Proven experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of test architecture, test data, and environment management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Background working with complex enterprise-scale platforms
  • English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
