Lead AWS Cloud Architect & Platform Engineering

MSD seeks a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design, build, and operation of its AWS cloud platform across manufacturing, commercial, CRO, and SaaS segments. You will be hands‑on architecting cloud infrastructure, automating delivery pipelines, and mentoring engineers.

You will partner with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Systems, and product teams to enforce security, reliability, and regulatory alignment including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, while delivering measurable business

Lead and mentor Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams; set direction and standards. Architect, build, and operate the AWS environment across multiple accounts. Stay hands‑on with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and production incident resolution. Own IaC standards, state management, and CI/CD integration. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline; master’s preferred. Minimum 10 years in cloud/DevOps roles with hands‑on AWS experience. Infrastructure‑as‑Code expertise with Terraform (preferred) and AWS CDK, CloudFormation. Experience in regulated environments and communicating with auditors and leadership.
