Lead Business Analyst

Performance Management, Operational Analytics & Process Improvement

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Pacific Time

Employment Type: Full-Time Independent Contractor

Turn Operational Data Into Measurable Performance

Legal Management Group is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to strengthen performance management, operational efficiency, and data-informed decision-making across the organization.

This is not a traditional reporting-only analyst position. You will combine advanced business analysis with operational leadership, people management, process improvement, and project execution. You will lead and evaluate team members while partnering closely with the Operations Coordinator and departmental stakeholders to uncover performance gaps, establish accountability, and implement strategies that produce measurable improvements.

Your work will directly influence productivity, quality, workflow efficiency, employee performance, and leadership decision-making.

Why This Role Matters

Rapid growth requires clear performance standards, reliable reporting, and leaders who can translate operational data into action.

As our Lead Business Analyst, you will design the systems used to measure departmental success, investigate the causes behind performance trends, and guide teams through meaningful operational improvements. You will help leadership move beyond surface-level metrics by connecting data with business context and turning findings into executable strategies.

Compensation and Growth

  • Competitive USD compensation paid twice monthly
  • Performance bonus opportunities
  • Professional development and ongoing training
  • Career growth within a rapidly expanding organization
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional initiatives
  • Collaborative, performance-driven work environment
  • Modern office in Guadalajara

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership and Performance Coaching

  • Lead, coach, and evaluate team members within a metrics-driven operational environment.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, accountability standards, and measurable objectives.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
  • Partner with the Operations Coordinator to identify performance gaps and develop targeted improvement plans.
  • Align reporting requirements and performance data with operational priorities.
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Help employees understand the connection between their daily work, departmental results, and organizational goals.

Performance Management and Business Reporting

  • Design, implement, and maintain departmental KPIs, OKRs, scorecards, and performance-tracking systems.
  • Build and manage dashboards and reporting tools using Google Sheets, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare and present recurring performance reports, business insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conduct time-and-motion studies, root-cause analyses, and operational performance assessments.
  • Establish clear reporting definitions, data requirements, and performance measurement standards.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of improvement plans and recommend adjustments based on results.

Process Improvement and Operational Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategies that improve departmental productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma and Lean principles to identify waste, reduce inefficiencies, and streamline workflows.
  • Map, document, evaluate, and redesign business processes using Lucidchart or comparable tools.
  • Translate analytical findings into practical action plans with clear owners, timelines, and success measures.
  • Identify recurring operational issues and address their underlying causes.
  • Build scalable processes that support organizational growth without compromising quality.
  • Use Agile practices to manage improvement initiatives and adapt execution based on business needs.

Project and Stakeholder Management

  • Lead end-to-end operational improvement projects from discovery and planning through implementation and evaluation.
  • Define project objectives, requirements, milestones, responsibilities, and performance measures.
  • Partner with departmental leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and deliverables.
  • Communicate findings, risks, recommendations, and progress clearly to stakeholders at every level.
  • Facilitate productive conversations between analytics, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Maintain accountability for project timelines, execution quality, and measurable results.
  • Ensure implemented solutions are adopted, documented, and sustained.

  • Availability to work on-site in Guadalajara, Monday through Friday, during Pacific Time business hours.
