Lead Business Analyst - Oil & Gas with Data

We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst - Oil & Gas with Data to align stakeholder needs with engineering delivery across Oil & Gas products and data entities. You will partner with business units and domain specialists to define requirements, shape product capabilities, and confirm solutions fit operational workflows. Join the team and help turn industry needs into clear specs and stories.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Oil & Gas subject matter expert for product and engineering teams
• Engage business stakeholders, domain experts, and global users to gather, analyze, and refine requirements
• Clarify domain concepts, business processes, data models, and key industry entities for engineering teams
• Convert business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Align with product and engineering groups to shape features and deliver measurable business value
• Assess solution designs to ensure they match business objectives and operational workflows
• Test and validate end-to-end business workflows across the product lifecycle
• Uncover gaps, edge cases, and process improvement opportunities throughout development
• Provide demos, walkthroughs, and presentations for stakeholders and business users
• Assist with UAT execution and solution adoption support

Requirements

• Deep experience in Business Analysis, typically 5+ years, supporting product and engineering delivery
• Strong grasp of Oil & Gas business processes, operational workflows, and domain-driven thinking
• Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams that include stakeholders, domain experts, product managers, and software engineers
• Extensive skills in requirements elicitation, analysis, and operating in product development environments
• High-level analytical ability, communication skills, and stakeholder management discipline
• Ability to distill complex business concepts into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps for planning and tracking analysis deliverables
• Prior exposure to domain data models and related business entities
• English proficiency of Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream Oil & Gas operations
• Exposure to industry data models, core business entities, and digital transformation initiatives
• Background in Agile/Scrum product development environments
• Familiarity with workflow validation, testing, and UAT processes
• Awareness of industry-leading products such as ProSource, OSDU, Petrel, Databricks, etc.
