Lead Business Analyst - Payments

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to own product strategy and drive execution for platform capabilities within our payments ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs with technical delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams to shape product roadmaps and ensure successful feature delivery in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, Working Backwards document, and roadmap for one or more platform capabilities
• Define, prioritize, and manage product features, user stories, and backlog items
• Partner with stakeholders to identify customer needs, market opportunities, and product enhancements
• Leverage business insights, customer feedback, and operational metrics to drive product decisions
• Lead feature elaboration and requirements definition activities
• Act as the voice of the customer and advocate for business needs
• Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, and Business teams
• Facilitate alignment and trade-off discussions, and influence product decisions
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Manage the product backlog, acceptance criteria, and feature prioritization
• Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to ensure successful feature delivery
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and elaboration sessions

Requirements

• 10-15 years of overall IT experience, including managing technical or platform products in an Agile environment
• Expertise in Business Analysis, BRD, FRD, Stakeholder Management, and Risk Management
• Knowledge of product management, roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and feature lifecycle management
• Capability to translate business requirements into actionable product features and user stories
• Background in working with engineering teams building APIs, cloud-native applications, microservices, or distributed systems
• Skills in analytical and data-driven decision-making
• Experience facilitating trade-off decisions across business, customer, operational, and technical priorities
• Proficiency in communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
• Flexibility to use AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to improve product management effectiveness
• Understanding of Agile and SAFe frameworks
• Background in Payments, Open Banking, FinTech, Banking, or Disputes domain
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

• Experience managing high-volume transaction processing or platform products
• Experience defining product KPIs, adoption metrics, and operational health measures
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery models
