This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Business Systems Analyst (Salesforce) based in the United States.

The Lead Business Systems Analyst will lead business analysis across a portfolio of Salesforce initiatives, helping organizations translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions.
You will work closely with stakeholders, architects, technical teams, and implementation partners throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
The role goes beyond traditional requirements gathering, with a strong focus on challenging assumptions and improving business processes.
You will help balance business value, technical complexity, scalability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership when evaluating solutions.
The position offers significant exposure to Salesforce capabilities including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, automation, integrations, and emerging AI tools.
You will play a key role in ensuring successful discovery, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization of business-critical solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead business analysis across multiple concurrent Salesforce projects and initiatives.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, requirements discussions, and stakeholder alignment meetings.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects, technical teams, internal application groups, and implementation partners to define effective solutions.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes and develop detailed requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and traceability artifacts.
  • Challenge existing processes and requirements to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, automation, and improved business outcomes.
  • Evaluate solution options with architects and delivery teams, balancing business value, technical complexity, scalability, supportability, and cost.
  • Promote a configuration-first approach by maximizing standard Salesforce capabilities before recommending custom development.
  • Assess business impact, operational benefits, licensing considerations, and total cost of ownership for proposed solutions.
  • Support Salesforce initiatives from discovery and design through build, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Validate solution designs and prototypes using Salesforce declarative capabilities such as Flow, reports, dashboards, page layouts, permission sets, and security controls.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing, defect triage, deployment readiness, and related delivery activities.
  • Partner with integration and data teams on system interfaces, data migrations, mapping, data quality, and governance.
  • Support Salesforce Data Cloud/Data360 initiatives involving customer data unification, segmentation, activation, and governance.
  • Evaluate Salesforce AI capabilities, including Einstein and Agentforce, and identify practical opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations for Salesforce AI initiatives, considering ROI, licensing and consumption costs, business value, and organizational readiness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize Salesforce capabilities and investments according to strategic business objectives.
  • Communicate requirements, risks, scope changes, dependencies, estimates, and business impacts clearly across stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience, with flexibility for candidates offering strong directly relevant experience.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Salesforce.
    • Proven experience leading business analysis across multiple concurrent Salesforce projects.
    • Strong experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud.
    • Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative configuration, including Flow, permission sets, reports, dashboards, and page layouts.
    • Experience working with external systems integrators or implementation partners throughout discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
    • Strong knowledge of integrations, data migration, data mapping, data quality, data governance, and enterprise application ecosystems.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable solution designs.
    • Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, including the confidence to constructively challenge requirements and proposed solutions.
    • Experience working in Agile environments.
    • Strong commercial awareness and ability to evaluate estimates, scope, change requests, costs, and potential business impacts.
    • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and alignment with broader business objectives.
    • Curiosity about emerging Salesforce capabilities, automation, and AI, with the ability to identify practical opportunities for measurable business value.
    • Preferred experience with Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud, Data Cloud/Data360, Field Service, CPQ, Revenue Cloud, licensing, contract management, retail operations, or CRM transformation.
    • Experience evaluating Salesforce AI capabilities from both business and financial perspectives is a plus.
    • Experience in both consulting/system integrator environments and internal business applications organizations is highly preferred.
    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
    • Ability to work approximately 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time, with occasional flexibility for business-critical initiatives.
    • Willingness to complete background checks when required by security-conscious clients.
