Lead Buyer Commodity

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned commodity categories to achieve cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply continuity.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes ensuring alignment with Company's procurement policies and automotive industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams to define technical requirements and ensure supplier compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors to anticipate risks and opportunities impacting commodity procurement.
• Manage supplier performance through regular evaluations, audits, and development plans to foster continuous improvement and innovation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain disruptions, expedite deliveries, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Prepare detailed procurement reports, cost analyses, and forecasts to support decision-making and strategic planning at the departmental level.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, ethical standards, and legal requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Educational qualifications preferred

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commodity procurement within the automotive industry, demonstrating expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
