Lead Buyer (m/f/d) - Bucharest, Romania
- Independently manage the procurement of assigned equipment packages for international projects
- Prepare requests for quotation (RFQs), evaluate supplier quotations, and perform commercial price comparisons for technically complex equipment packages
- Conduct contract and price negotiations and finalize purchase orders as well as supply and framework agreements
- Support the Sales department during the quotation process by providing pricing and delivery time information, as well as maintaining and analyzing pricing data
- Identify, develop, and manage international suppliers while continuously expanding a high-performing supplier network
- Ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-compliant procurement processes
- Analyze cost developments and identify and implement cost optimization initiatives
- Provide commercial procurement support to our international subsidiaries
- University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification with a strong affinity for technical products and processes
- Professional experience in strategic or project procurement, preferably within the mechanical or plant engineering industry
- Experience in sourcing technically complex equipment packages and managing international suppliers
- Strong technical understanding combined with sound commercial judgment
- Excellent negotiation skills, assertiveness, and confidence in an international business environment
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
